Ah, yes; another mini MAC haul
post. It’s been several months since I made a visit to MAC and actually bought
something. As a present to myself last month (because who doesn’t purchase presents for
themselves during through the holiday season?), I picked up two eye shadows that have
been collecting dust on my list of MAC shadows that I’ve wanted. MAC’s shadows
are brilliant as always and are always worth the purchase.
After much debate, I decided to pick up Patina, a taupe brown with a golden pearl shimmer. This shadow was a recommendation/raved pick from Lily Pebbles and I loved the look of it on the back of my hand. I’ve only worn it a couple times as I am still trying to figure out how I like it best. This shadow definitely has the potential of being extremely versatile and blending well with other shadows.

Next, I
picked up Sable, a color that wasn’t
actually on my list but still a good decision to purchase regardless. I would
describe it as a bronze with some pink sheen and gold shimmer. This is probably
one of my new favorite MAC shadows in my collection. I’ve loved it so much I
would probably wear it more than one day in a week. This frost shade is another
versatile one and looks terrific with MAC’s Handwritten
in the crease. This color can easily be spiced up for the night or
simplified for the day.
Ironically,
I picked up both frost shades, which makes sense since I am a big
shimmer/glitter fan on the eyes. Jest is
my only other frost shade and it’s simply superb as a highlighter on the brow
bone. Stay tuned to see what else I end up with from MAC this year…
