It was love at first sight when I
was scrolling through my Instagram feed one day and my thumb paused on a photo
of NARS’ newest palette. The Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette is my first
Narsissist palette and it’s quickly become the prettiest thing I own (but the
Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita is up there, too). Even nestled inside is a mini
Wet-Dry brush; this palette couldn’t be anymore perfect.
Inside the mirrored case are eight
shades that range from a light peach to black. These shadows are made of incredible
quality product and transfer well from brush to lid. When applied wet, they go on
almost like eyeshadow paint; the outcome resembles a super metallic smooth look
on the eyes. The shadows blend together beautifully and all these shades can be
used together to create plenty of looks.
I had Himalia before and it still remains a favorite (it’s actually one
of my all-time favorite eye shadows ever). Ursa Major, the chocolate brown
shade, is a new one and I’m still playing around with the power this shadow
has. Subra, a black orchid, is brilliant and goes wonderfully well with
Himalia. Giove, a navy shade, is a bit out of my comfort zone but Lysithea, a
grey, is a new favorite and seems almost more of a mint grey/green to me.
This palette is definitely worth
the investment since it costs $79.00. But the value of the shadows and the
brush work themselves out in cost and the quality of every bit is excellent.
It’s even perfect for travel, especially since I just returned from a weekend
away and this little beauty didn’t cause me any problems.
