Burberry has always been one of my favorite brands, fashion wise and now makeup too. It's one of those classic lines that is so timeless and makes me ooh and aah every season. While in Los Angeles last month, I had the pleasure of trying their makeup first hand at their new store on Rodeo. It was one of my favorite days I spent in California, taking some bits back home with me and acquiring some others recently.
My makeup artist, Robin, and I decided on a more neutral every day eye. Face first, she started with the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base as a primer, continuing with the Fresh Glow way, we used the Luminous Fluid Foundation, which I purchased in Ochre No. 20. I like to apply this foundation at home with a beauty blender, giving my skin the 'I look like I'm not wearing makeup' look. The Fresh Glow Powder in No. 20 finished things off, Earthly Light Glow Blush as a contour shade and Tangerine Light Glow Blush for a pop of subtle color on my cheeks.
Eyes are always my favorite part when it comes to makeup. Burberry's new Eye Color Cream in Gold Copper started as the base with Pale Barley, Midnight Brown, and Mulberry eyeshadows blended together to set the color arrangement. Pale Barley, the shade I bought, looks brilliant on its own and I would probably add a bit of MAC Handwritten to define the crease. Robin followed up with some mascara, Burberry's Kohl eyeliner in Jet Black, and then filled in my brows with an eyebrow pencil in Ash Brown.
Lips were kept simple with Sepia Lip Liner and Nude Pink Kisses Lipstick.
My experience at Burberry was amazing and something I couldn't believe I had the chance to take advantage of. I ended up picking up Pale Barley eyeshadow, Earthly blush, and Elderberry nail polish, a burgundy purple shade that's perfect for fall/winter.
With Burberry now available at Sephora, I ordered the Fresh Glow foundation as mentioned above and the AW15 collection nail polishes in Poppy Black, Cadet Green, and Khaki Green.
