I’m like a kid in a candy store when it comes to skincare, especially at my job. It’s like adventuring through aisles of aesthetically pleasing products that hold everything from stellar ingredients to promising results. There’s nothing like admiring your skincare products lined up on your bathroom counter. Don’t laugh at me, I know some of you do it too.
Ages ago, I had Birchbox, the monthly sample subscription box, but I canceled it after piling up so many things that I didn’t really care about. But, a couple months ago, I was flipping through an issue of Allure and there was an ad for their beauty box, which is the same price as Birchbox. Staring back at me on the page was a promotion for a full size Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum. Just imagine the hearts in my eyes when I spotted that.
So, like the easy customer I can be, I signed up for Allure’s beauty box for only $15 a month and excitedly waited for my first box. I didn’t really care about anything else in the box, but C.E.O earned a spot on my counter immediately.
Here we are, two months later, and C.E.O. and I didn’t have as great of a relationship as I hoped we would have. I love all of Sunday Riley’s products but I saw the littlest difference in my skin from using this. It boasts a specific kind of ultra-stable Vitamin C that works quickly to boost radiance. Maybe I didn’t see a change because my skin isn’t really dull or dry but I still wanted to work something in the form of a day serum.
I think this serum is better for the person who wants to brighten, protect, and even their skin through a highly potent Vitamin C and E serum. It’s one of the pricer ones but you get what you pay for in quality of ingredients. I don’t feel like it lasted as long as I would have hoped, but I still love Sunday Riley and everything else she’s made!
